Guest Blog Post: Mommy By The River

Welcome to my blog…so glad you joined me this weekend! True confession: I still haven’t put away our Christmas decorations yet…nor have we finished sending our thank you notes for gifts. I was so proud that I jumped into the holiday season with shopping and preparations way ahead of schedule, yet now I find myself way behind. But I’m giving myself some grace…and if you find yourself in the same boat, you should give yourself grace too! As parents, we have a many priorities to juggle such as wiping noses, playing trucks, tickle-fests, bedtime stories and making lunches. And if you don’t want to go out to do anything fun this weekend, that’s okay too! Being together as a family is what counts.

In my Top Picks for January 16-18, 2015 enjoy a winter fest, see the science of snow display, a movie, ice skating, swimming, and soccer. Best of all, the events listed are all FREE or CHEAP! And if they ask who sent you…tell them ‘The Mommy’ did!
