Guest Blog Post: Mommy by the River

Hello and happy weekend! How have you done on your “bucket list” this summer? With another season winding down, sometimes it’s good to make a list (I’m a chronic list maker) of all the places you went so you can see that your summer actually was COOL!

What’s on my list? Pool – western town – amusement park – mini zoo – many playgrounds (3 new ones we had not tried before) – trip to Michigan – mini golf – Cantigny Park – movie in park – movie in theater – Millenium Park – ice cream – LEGOLAND – parade – and many of the events I shared in my Top Picks these past couple of months. And, it has been fun meeting many of you in passing this summer, when I’ve slipped you my “mommy card” to tell you about my blog.

In my Top Picks this weekend, you won’t want to miss out on the St. Charles Bank & Trust Company Family Fun Day, featuring Cold-Blooded Creatures. Then, head to the Elgin Public Museum’s Bat Hike to learn all about these nocturnal creatures! Best of all, the events listed below are all FREE or CHEAP! And if they ask who sent you…tell them The Mommy did!

DISCLAIMER: Although we are careful to report accurate dates and times as they are provided, we realize that sometimes we receive inaccurate information or events may be cancelled. We strongly encourage you to confirm the information before heading out and/or to click the link that is provided for each activity to check the details.
