Guest Blog Post: Top Picks for Families to do in the Area

Guest Blog Post: Mommy by the River

Ahhhh, the weekend. I know that many of you have kids that just went back to school. Did you cry a little? Do a happy dance? Maybe a little of both? I have a few more days until mine starts kindergarten (can’t believe it), so I am really cherishing these moments and trying to pack in a few more fun days and lots of snuggle time. I really do feel that life is flashing before my eyes!

In my Top Picks this weekend, make sure you head to a ‘Mommy’ favorite–Elgin’s International Festival, complete with all things cultural! Then, before it disappears forever, check out “The Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog” exhibit at the Gail Borden Public Library because it leaves Elgin on Monday. Best of all, the events listed below are all FREE or CHEAP! And if they ask who sent you…tell them The Mommy did!
