Guest Blog Post: Top Picks for Families to do in the Area

Guest Blog Post by Mommy by the River

Brrrr! What’s up with this COLD? At any rate…a very Happy Friday to you all! Can you believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away now?  The Mommy is glad to say she just finished sending out her Christmas cards and all of our decorations are officially displayed. How is it all going in your home? Remember…Don’t allow the busyness of this Season to creep in and steal your JOY. It really is okay not to bake cookies for your neighbors, send out Christmas cards and fight crowds to get the hot toy all of the ads say we must have to make our kids happy. Sometimes it is better to do less and stay sane (and yes, I am reminding myself as well!)

In my Top Picks for this weekend, you will find fun events to bring your kids to in the following towns: Cary, Elgin, Hoffman Estates, Marengo, Schaumburg and Wheaton. Best of all, they are all FREE or CHEAP! Please note that all of the events listed are drop-in and require no registration. And if they ask who sent you…tell them The Mommy did!

DISCLAIMER: The events posted below may change due to weather and other crazy circumstances, so I do encourage you to phone and/or check event information before heading out. And if they ask who sent you…tell them The Mommy did!
