Confession: I am a brunch nut. I am always looking for the best brunch food that curbs my sweet tooth but also indulges my love for savory. When I find a place that does that, it’s no doubt nothing less than heavenly. Brunch food is the quintessential food for life; alright just my life. Give me a good skillet, fluffy waffles, and a mimosa, I will drive however far I need to get that perfect brunch. If you love brunch just as much as I do, you will love Benedict’s Eggs and More in East Dundee!

Last week was my first time going to Benedict’s Eggs and More. The restaurant is located near the beautiful Bike Trail that overlooks the Fox River and historic downtown East Dundee. Benedict’s is not like any regular restaurant; it’s an old house built in 1892 that was made into a restaurant. This old house has a little surprise upon entry. There’s a tree growing in the middle of it. The tree was originally part of the home upon its construction and has been that way ever since. Benedict’s atmosphere is quaint and cozy, complete with country decor and 40’s style music playing in the background. It reminds me of going to my Grandmother’s home filled with love, warmth, and tons of comfort food.

Benedict’s serves fantastic breakfast food, but if you want something more lunch-like, they also have15111025_10210715120935660_4912004213169997097_o that. Their menu is expansive, so you don’t have to worry; they will have something delicious for you. As mentioned before I enjoy skillets, so I opted for the Jambalaya Skillet which has shrimp, andouille sausage, green peppers, onions, andouille sauce, and scrambled eggs. I got a bowl of fruit to satisfy my sweet tooth and an English muffin. The wait was not long at all; the staff was friendly, and everything was delicious! Doesn’t it look fantastic?

Grab your close friends or family and enjoy the homey atmosphere of Benedict’s Eggs and More with comforting brunch food! You can find their hours and address here.
