Join us for a heartwarming time of worship and hospitality during Judson University’s annual Spring Concert of Worship on Saturday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in Herrick Chapel (1151 N. State St., Elgin).
The Spring Concert of Worship – Encounters with Grace – will be a fresh, honest and hope-filled invitation to find your place in God’s overarching story of grace. The concert will feature the Judson University Choir, under the leadership of Assistant Director Bethany Timmons, as well as poignant retellings of Scripture by a small cast of Judson faculty and students.
The theme for the night will be woven throughout the entire service, incorporating Judson’s Chamber Singers, Jazz Ensemble, Piano Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble and Children’s Choir.
“Our semiannual Concerts of Worship have been highlights on our calendar from the very beginning of the Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts,” said Director Dr. Warren Anderson. “This year’s thematic twist comes courtesy of senior Sari Flage, who is directing the concert as part of an internship for her Music Business and Entrepreneurship degree. It will be a wonderful evening!”
Consider yourself invited to this powerful evening of stories, music and worship. There is no admission fee. A free-will offering will be taken.
